Our recruitment process

Longtail UX celebrates individuality and all the diverse talents and experiences that people bring to our team. We take great care in our recruitment process to ensure we find the perfect fit, both for us as a team and with the perfect role fit for our candidates.

1. We review your application

Whilst we may not be able to speak to all our candidates individually, we read every single CV that comes our way and consider all applications in our process.

2. Phone call with the recruitment team

We call our shortlisted candidates to learn more about your experience and expectations and tell you more about LUX, the role and what we do.

3. Video call with the People and Culture Manager

In this short call, you’ll discuss the Longtail UX culture more to get a sense of whether we are a good match. It’s your opportunity to ask questions, so please do.

4. Video call with the Hiring Manager

In this call, you’ll discuss the role, your skills and how they fit together. We’ll work through a few short questions to assess your knowledge of the position you’re applying for and how you might approach some common scenarios.

5. In-person interview with Hiring Manager and team

This is a more in-depth interview – we talk in more detail, and depending on the role, there may be a skills-based task requirement (but we will always brief you ahead of time!).

6. Decision time and feedback

You’ll generally hear back from us within 48 hours with the next steps and feedback.
